Our Malibu beach house is just miles away from Downtown Malibu - the playground of the rich and famous. Many high end retail shops and world class restaurants are located in Malibu and nearby picturesque Santa Monica. Local area attractions include cinemas, grocery stores, beaches, shopping centers, coffee houses, and museums. Malibu is the perfect place for hiking, walking, bike riding, horseback riding, jet skiing, boating, snorkeling, surfing, windsurfing, golf, sight-seeing and fishing. There are many private and public golf courses located in LA, including a fabulous public course located right in Malibu. You can also kick your feet up and unwind by visiting some of the best spas in the world! Or take a relaxing scenic drive along the coast on the historic Pacific Coast Highway and visit the world famous Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade for some great shopping and dining. For the kids - or the kid at heart - Disneyland, located in Anaheim, is a short 70 minute drive. You can visit the Disneyland website at www.disneyland.com. Santa Barbara is a quick, beautiful hour and a half drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. Santa Barbara, known for its beautiful Spanish architecture, beautiful beaches and world class shopping, is the perfect distance for a short day trip from our beach house. Our Malibu beach house is just steps away from Neptune's Net - a classic surfside restaurant located right on PCH. Famous for its clam chowder, Neptune's Net serves up great food in a superb location. Established in 1958, it has also been used as a filming location in many Hollywood movies, including "The Fast and the Furious." You can visit Neptune's Net online at www.neptunesnet.com.

Cafe Spruzzo, a local favorite, serves up some great Italian food, sandwiches, fried calamari, and the best pizza in town! Be sure to try the Salad Pizza for a unique take on an old original! Cafe Spruzzo is located at 29575 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. They also offer free local delivery if you call (310)457-8282.

Duke's Malibu Restaurant is famous for its panoramic ocean views, Hawaiian decor and excellent cuisine. The beachfront restaurant pays homage to Duke Kahanamoku, a Hawaiian surfing legend. The Sunset is one of Malibu's best known and best loved culinary adventures. Recently featured on The Food Network's "Giada's Weekend Getaway", is located in the heart of Zuma Beach. Its secluded location, striking views, and fine dining menu, make The Sunset one of the most exclusive restaurants along the Pacific Coastline.

Moonshadows beachside restaurant is famous for not only for its fabulous beachside location and fine cuisine, but it was also the spot Mel Gibson dined and drank at before his arrest in July of 2006. You can also dance the night away at Moonshadows Blue Lounge, a dance club located right inside Moonshadows restaurant. Moonshadows is located at 20356 Pacific Coast Highway. Geoffrey's Malibu, famous for its excellent seafood, is located at 27400 Pacific Coast Highway. Dining at Geoffrey's beachfront restaurant is truly a culinary experience. From its prosciutto wrapped salmon to its two pound steamed Maine lobster - you really can't go wrong!

Malibu Attractions:



The Trancas Center is also home to a Starbucks, a drycleaners, a garden center and nursery, a mail center, and a general store. The City of Malibu Planning Department is currently planning a large expansion and renovation of the site, with an addition of several fine dining restaurants and high end retail shops.

The Malibu Country Mart is a favorite among local residents and among movie location scouts as a popular filming location. The Mart, located at 3835 Cross Creek Rd., was used extensively in the movie Paparazzi starring Cole Hauser and Robin Tunney. The outdoor shopping center features over 60 specialty shops, art galleries, boutiques, fine dining restaurants, and coffee houses. It is home to popular sushi restaurant Nobu, celebrity favorite clothing store Planet Blue, and the actual Starbucks that is visited daily by Miss Britney Spears. Los Angeles Attractions:



Los Angeles has some of the best art museums in the country! Right in nearby Pacific Palisades is The Getty Villa, located at 17985 Pacific Coast Highway. The Getty Villa was J. Paul Getty's original home.

Perhaps most famous of all LA area museums is The Getty Museum in Brentwood - www.getty.edu/ - home to Irises by Van Gogh and Sunrise by Monet. The Getty also features stunning modern architecture, lush gardens, and incredible views.

Just voted one of the best art museums in the world by America Online, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, LACMA, is located right in the heart of Los Angeles at 5905 Wilshire Blvd. You can visit LACMA online at www.lacma.org.

One of the finest LA area museums is the Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens located in Pasadena. The Huntington is the former home of railroad tycoon Henry Huntington and was opened to the public in 1928. If you prefer a day outside among nature, instead of a day spent inside a museum, the Huntington is the perfect choice for you! The Huntington is situated on 120 acres of incredible gardens and pathways. Your entire day can be spent walking among the beautiful gardens and ponds.
